Objectives ​

The objective of this study was to develop an information system to support development of indices in consonance with the requirements of global urban observatory for monitoring the implementation of the habitat agenda and to assess the type and periodicity of data available and generated in urban centers.
Description of initiative in brief ​
​
SULAXMI collected data on the bases of questionnaire, which covered six essential areas identified shelter, social development and eradication of poverty, environmental management, economic development and governance for international cooperation of Ghaziabad and Merrut towns of Uttar Pradesh. There were many findings, which were valuable for TCPO like due to immigiration, Ghaziabad has facing mass population pressure from eastern UP, Bihar, Haryana since 1991, the cases of non – fatal cases situation have increased in Ghaziabad since 1997. The slums are increasing in Merrut rapidly. There are good facilities in slums in Ghaziabad in comparison of Merrut etc.

Description of initiative in brief​
​
Medicinal services and safe drinking water are the major thrust areas of SULAXMI especially in the world known drought prone areas of Palamau and its vicinity. In this area many activities have been taken up to make the tribal life comfortable. In addition, many medical camps are organized in twenty remote villages of Jharkhand, Sonebhadra and in rehabilitation colonies of Delhi. In these camps the medicines were provided to them like irons and various kinds of diseases were checked like Tuberculoses, eyes check up etc.


Workshop on Human rights of Tribal Women

Tribal Women’s of 15 villages actively participated in the mission. All these participants were poor & marginalized people. 25 Activities also participated from Bihar, UP, MP, Orissa.

Tribal women were at low survivals. She was the worst suffer of exploitation by dominating group. There was a great need to empower her. That’s why SULAXMI started this mission to help her.

Project Brief
​
On December 12, 1997, SULAXMI organized a workshop on Human rights of Tribal women in Singrauli (Uttar Pradesh). Nearly 25 activists participated from Bihar, UP, M.P. and Orissa. This get- together of so many people voicing discover problems faced by the tribal women was in itself and eye opener. SULAXMI has been active in the campaign for equal rights of women. Being a national organization our strategy has been establishing contact and develop group at the micro level so as to have a two-way interaction and exchange of information. Being a focal point for these grassroots’ groups spread all over the country, SULAXMI has been able to effectively mobilize them for united action.


Medical Camp among tribals

​
It was a medical camp organized among tribals. SULAXMI invited various doctors & medical praticeners from near by region, to participate. Tribal came in huge number. Diseases like asthma, tuberculosis, hoping cough are highly prevalent among tribals. With the help of doctors & other medical expertise, numbers of tribals were diagnosed and were also given medicines & vaccines. Trust also distribute vitamin syrup among the pregnant women.
