​CAPART

​
CAPART was formed by amalgamating two agencies the 'Council for Advancementof Rural Technology' (CART) and People's Action for Development India (PADI). CAPART is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860,and is functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. Today, this agency is a major promoter of rural development in India, assisting over 12,000 voluntary organizations across the country in implementing a wide range of development initiatives.

 

 

 

ICSSR

Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) was established in the year of 1969 by the Government of India to promote research in social sciences in the country. ICSSR advise the Government of India on all matters pertaining to social science research as may be referred to it from time to time; and take such measures generally as may be necessary from time to time to promote social science research and its utilization.

​MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS

​
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports was initially set up as the Department of Sports in 1982 at the time of organisation of the IX Asian Games in New Delhi. Itsname was changed to the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports during celebration of the International Youth Year, 1985. It became a Ministry on the 27th May, 2000. The specific subjects being dealt with by the Ministry are contained in the Order of the Government of India(Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961

Teachers Without Borders is a non-profit (501c3), non-denominational, international NGO founded in 2000, devoted to closing the education divide through teacher professional development and community education.  Our organization focuses on the building of teacher leaders. We work primarily, but not exclusively, in developing countries, in order to build self-reliance, health, and capacity.

​JAPAN FOUNDATION

The Japan Foundation, that was established in 1972 as a special legal entity to undertake international cultural exchange, became an independent administrative institution on October 1, 2003. As part of the changes being initiated, a new organizational structure was adopted in May this year that consists of the following four categories in order to aim toward the even more comprehensive and effective development of its international cultural exchange programs.

​COTTONWOOD FOUNDATION
​

Cottonwood Foundation, a charitable, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to promoting empowerment of people, protection of the environment, and respect for cultural diversity. The foundation focuses its funding on committed, grass roots organizations that rely strongly on volunteer efforts and where foundation support will make a significant difference. At least 90% of Cottonwood Foundation's expenditures will be for grants to other organizations.

​NEW FORESTS PROJECTS
​
​
The New Forests Project is a people-to-people, direct-action program established in 1982 in an effort to reduce the effects of deforestation in developing countries. Since its inception the New Forests Project has supported more than 4,400 communities in over 120 countries. Its goals are to provide farmers, community organizations, and environmental groups with the training and materials necessary to begin successful reforestation projects, protect their watersheds and other natural resources. More recent initiatives of the New Forests Project include implementing water & sanitation projects in Latin America.





MINISTRY OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT

The Ministry of Urban Development & the Ministry of Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation are the apex authority of Government of India at the national level to formulate policies, sponsor and support programme, coordinate the activities of various Central Ministries, State Governments and other nodal authorities and monitor the programmes concerning all the issues of urban development and housing in the country.

DBT

The Department of Biotechnology is organized on modern lines of management, viz. reducing vertical hierarchy and promoting horizontal interaction amongst the scientific groups and officers. The Department is being advised by two apex level committees viz. the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC-DBT) and Standing Advisory Committee (overseas) SAC-O. These committees review the ongoing programmes and suggest new and emerging areas that could be supported. The Biotechnology Research Promotion Committee (BRPC) considers, recommends and reviews major inter-disciplinary project proposals with budget of more than Rs. 1.00 cores. In addition, a and several expert task forcers comprising eminent scientists, provide useful advice to the department in the pursuit of its goals to promote R&D activities in the country.

The Department of Science & Technology plays a pivotal role in promotion of science & technology in the country. The department has wide ranging activities ranging from promoting high end basic research and development of cutting edge technologies on one hand to service the technological requirements of the common man through development of appropriate skills and technologies on the other.

GOONJ

A unique resource mobilization initiative providing clothes and other basic amenities to millions in the far-flung areas
by turning one’s wastage into a resource for another. Initiated in 1998 with just 67 clothes, we now send out over 20,000 kgs of material every month in 19 states. A force of over 300 volunteers, GOONJ.. has built up a network of over 100 grassroot organisations, panchayats, Ashoka fellows, social activists & units of Indian army in rural India.

Open Meadows Foundation is a grant-making organization for projects that are led by and benefit women and girls. Open Meadows Foundation funds projects that do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age or ability. It offers grants up to $2000 for different projects.
