Major Issues Addressed ​

​

Behror has been identified as the BLACK ZONE by the Central Board of Ground Water Commission, Jaipur. The rivers Savi, Sauta & Surknali are now appearing like a desert since there is no flow in these watercourses.   Agriculture is not chemical free in this area, so soil is becoming infertile day by day.  Since SULAXMI is intended to preserve and promote bio-diversity through soil conservation, promotion of organic agriculture through vermiculture and to cover more and more areas through growing of chemical-free indigenous varieties of green vegetables with cent percent involvement of locals specially womenfolk, the pivot of tribal economy

Objectives 

​

Under Mission Sanjeevita, to cover 55 acres of land for organic cultivation of different verities of green vegetables through construction of 40 vermipits. Development of two demonstration plots. Imparting training to the locals with distribution of concerned pictorial literature.
 

Description of initiative in brief ​

​

A Village Level Committee (VLC) was formed with the consent of locals that was followed by the selection of beneficiaries. Awareness cum motivation programme was organized and then after vermipits were constructed based on the approved model of Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The capacity of each pit is 3.6 tones of manure in a year. Besides, a training camp was organized, in which 137 participants were imparted training by some experts. The beneficiaries were provided all technical support including technology transfer with seeds of tomato, brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage, and chilli. The farmers are applying vermin-manure. They are growing organic yields very beneficial to the locals, specially womenfolk, who are anemic.

Bio-diversity of Behror, existing of herbs in that locality, interested groups-individuals for traditional folk knowledge on herbs, linkages between mass and marketing following cultivation of selected herbs, suitable to the local environment.
 

Objectives  ​

Availability of herbs in the nearby locality of targeted area, meeting of the traditional folk-healers, folk-physicians, farmers, local institutions & grassroot NGOs, identification of locals farmers, who are interested for herbal cultivation, cultivation of Patherchur & proper marketing of yields.
 

Description of initiative in brief ​

​

Rajasthan has great tradition of herb treatment by traditional medicinal practitioner. But, this tradition is gone with the winds. In this connection SULAXMI selected some interested and motivated beneficiaries of 10 villages of Behror sub-division in district Alwar of Rajasthan. Total number of beneficiaries was 43. Each beneficiary provided ¼ acres of land to demonstration of Patherchur cultivation.





Awareness for Organic Agriculture under Mission Sanjeevita

Since SULAXMI is intended to preserve and promote bio-diversity through soil conservation, promotion of organic agriculture through vermiculture, so to cover more and more areas through growing of chemical-free indigenous varieties of green vegetables with cent percent involvement of locals specially womenfolk, the pivot of tribal economy, is the sole aim of SULAXMI and soul of Mission Sanjeevita.

To make aware the huge population of targeted areas with involvement of locals, local administration, concerned agencies, Panchayat bodies, schools, college and other interested agencies.

Description of initiative in brief

​

Through Mission SANJEEVITA, SULAXMI has been spreading the message of organic agriculture in 7 states of India. Initially, it was from 2 villages of district Alwar in Rajasthan. The TRUST makes awareness to adopt organic agriculture through vermiculture in 15 villages of Rajasthan, 5 villages of Chattisghar, 19 village of Jharkhand, 12 villages of Bihar and 25 villages of Orissa. The targeted districts are Alwar, Raipur, Lohardaga, Pakudand, Bhagalpur and Kalahandi districts. The participant came to know the importance of organic agriculture through awareness campaign.





Awareness to Action- Supporting Non-Formal Environmental Education to the Rural People of Behror district of Alwar.

Major Issues Addressed ​

​

This region of Rajasthan has been known as BLACK ZONE of India, where water level is gradually going down. Additionally, climate is adversely changing against the circumstances to keep safe the ecology in support of lively creature including botanical world. SULAXMI is intended to take exact step in support of climate change through soil conservation, bio-diversity conservation and availability of water. These can be possible through plantation, revival of water-system, organic agriculture through vermiculture. This is the reason, SULAXMI is running a mission called MISSION SANJEEVITA to cover more and more areas through growing of chemical-free indigenous varieties of green vegetables with cent percent involvement of locals specially womenfolk, the pivot of tribal economy. 
 

Objectives​

​

To make the mass to fight against the draconian tendency to use chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Motivational work to adopt organic agriculture through distribution of related pictorial literature to the local population with involvement of schools.  
 

Description of initiative in brief ​

​

The local volunteers covered 13 villages of three block of Behror and motivated the mass to adopt organic agriculture for safe and happy life. The students of 16 schools sprayed the message of organic agriculture.





Reproductive and Child Health Among the Bawariya Tribal Community of Two Villages of Alwar District

To make the young girls and women’s aware about the healthy conditions of reproductive and child health.
 

Description of initiative in brief​

​

The women play pivotal role in their society and they are the backbone of tribal economy. SULAXMI organize various awareness camps for reproductive health in Bawariya tribals, known for their criminal activities, dominate both villages. Their diet is inferior, and more girls than boys in the same age group suffer from malnutrition because they are given less nutritious foods than boys. The trainers were from the Local medical institutions and the experts of the organisation. Women participated very actively with interest. The local RCH workers were also introduces among them for further clarifications and follow ups.
