Since SULAXMI is intended to preserve and promote bio-diversity through soil conservation, promotion of organic agriculture through vermiculture, so to cover more and more areas through growing of chemical-free indigenous varieties of green vegetables with cent percent involvement of locals specially womenfolk, the pivot of tribal economy, is the sole aim of SULAXMI and soul of Mission Sanjeevita.

To make aware the huge population of targeted areas with involvement of locals, local administration, concerned agencies, Panchayat bodies, schools, college and other interested agencies.  
 

Description of initiative in brief ​

​

Through Mission SANJEEVITA, SULAXMI has been spreading the message of organic agriculture in 7 states of India. Initially, it was from 2 villages of district Alwar in Rajasthan. The TRUST makes awareness to adopt organic agriculture through vermiculture in 15 villages of Rajasthan, 5 villages of Chattisghar, 19 village of Jharkhand, 12 villages of Bihar and 25 villages of Orissa. The targeted districts are Alwar, Raipur, Lohardaga, Pakudand, Bhagalpur and Kalahandi districts. The participant came to know the importance of organic agriculture through awareness campaign.





Kitchen Gardens with Science & Technology Intervention

Bio-diversity conservation, enrichment of soil, negation of chemical fertilizers, commencement of new culture of organic food in the targeted areas.
 

Objectives  ​

​

Development of 123 kitchen gardens in 3 districts of 3 provinces. Application of vermin-manure to the plants, growing of various vegetables, enrich food intake of locals and making of avenues for proper marketing of yields.
 

Description of initiative in brief ​

​

SULAXMI introduced science and technology intervention in horticulture through development of kitchen gardens in the backward of beneficiaries. Total 123 kitchen gardens have been developed so far in Sahibganj district (Jharkhand), Kalahandi district (Orissa), Bhagalpur district (Bihar), so far under close supervision of related experts. The beneficiaries have been imparted training for the same and they are getting now technical support from the side of SULAXMI. Subsequently, the beneficiaries are growing solanceous fruits, coli crops, root crops, beans, salad crops and leafy vegetables in their gardens for their domestic consumption. The main aim of this activity is to popularize the importance of vegetables in these remote areas and to enrich the food intake of hilly people.

How to keep clean drinking water resources or bodies, making awareness for the same cause.
 

Description of initiative in brief​

​

Clean water is very important for human being or even for the livestock also. The Trust has been making awareness for consumption for the clean water. The accumulated water is ditches and dugs are the main reason for water bond diseases in the remote areas. SULAXMI organized several meetings to make aware the villagers for the same cause in Phulbani and Kalahandi districts of Orissa, Bhagalpur district of Bihar, Alwar district of Rajasthan, Sahibganj district of Jharkhand, Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, Ambala district of Haryana and Raipur district of Chattisghar. This activity covered 67 villages so far.
